Role summary:

The Manager, Merchandising Planning, applies advanced expertise to develop and execute strategic action plans that align with business objectives and customer needs. This role leads financial forecasting, assortment planning, and promotional strategy by leveraging data analytics and market insights. Collaborating cross-functionally, the manager drives informed decisions to optimize category performance and profitability. The position emphasizes continuous business improvement and effective communication to influence outcomes and support company values. This role also fosters a high-performing environment focused on delivering measurable business results through disciplined planning and execution.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and execute merchandising plans using data-driven insights to optimize category performance and financial outcomes.
  • Lead financial forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to influence feature, promotion, and assortment strategies based on historical data and customer behavior.
  • Analyze category health and provide actionable recommendations to improve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate financial results and strategic insights to leadership and stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging digital tools and best practices in merchandising planning.

  • Experience managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities and developing actionable financial plans.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
