Role summary:

The Manager, Facility Design, leads the execution of comprehensive building design projects by translating business plans into actionable architectural solutions. This role oversees design teams, manages change requests, and ensures alignment with key stakeholders to meet project milestones and quality standards. The position requires collaboration with architects and cross-functional partners to optimize space planning and design integrity. By providing expert guidance and maintaining rigorous quality assurance, the manager supports continuous improvement and drives successful delivery of facility design initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
About the team:

The Store Space Design team plays a vital role in developing effective in-store environments through large-scale remodels and special projects. Collaborating closely with Real Estate, Operations, and cross-functional partners, the team transforms strategic plans into practical, buildable store layouts that enhance workflow and customer experience. Focused on scalable design solutions, they balance operational requirements with existing conditions. From planning through execution, the team ensures successful remodels across all stores. This solutions-driven group values ownership, clear communication, and continuous improvement, bridging strategy and execution to deliver lasting, functional store designs.
What you'll do:
  • Lead total building CAD design projects by reviewing business plans and ensuring design intent execution.
  • Manage design activities, change requests, and financial impact assessments with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits to identify design errors and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with architects of record and internal teams to deliver project milestones and approvals.
  • Provide design recommendations and support design planning activities including space allocation and scheduling.
  • Monitor project status, resource alignment, and communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Apply expertise to develop and improve action plans aligned with business needs and customer expectations.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
