Role summary:

Join our mission to help transform Walmart's vast supply chain network into a flexible, adaptive, and learning-oriented system. As a Manager, Advanced Analytics, you'll play a pivotal role in modernizing labor planning by transitioning away from legacy tools to Polaris - our enterprise-scale scheduling platform - while building technical and analytical solutions that fuel better, faster decision-making for leaders across the network.
About the team:

Walmart's Supply Chain Labor Planning team delivers advanced workforce insights and innovative labor planning solutions across multiple formats. This team integrates data engineering, financial modeling, and supply chain execution to enhance staffing optimization and operational performance at hundreds of facilities. By developing tools and automation, the team supports site leaders in making data-driven decisions that improve workforce management and operational outcomes. The group fosters collaboration with leadership and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence through advanced analytics, project management, and strategic guidance.
What you'll do:
  • Own the intake, design, development, and delivery of analytics solutions by working directly with business stakeholders to understand needs, translate requirements, and build scalable technical solutions.
  • Create automated analytics tools using SQL-driven pipelines to improve data accuracy and streamline labor planning workflows.
  • Develop Power BI data models and dashboards that support operational reporting and decision making.
  • Manage business stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle, including requirement gathering, prioritization, expectation setting, user acceptance, training, and post-launch support.
  • Deliver weekly performance insights to senior leadership tracking ROI, projections, and operational outcomes.
  • Lead the migration of 360+ sites into Polaris by August 2026, ensuring seamless cutovers and field-ready documentation.

What you'll bring:
  • Expert-level SQL skills for data management, automation, and pipeline development.
  • Proven ability to develop Power BI dashboards and data models that drive widespread user adoption and enable data-driven decision making.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying advanced statistical methods (e.g., regression analysis, clustering, A/B testing, forecasting) to solve complex business problems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage business stakeholders effectively, explain technical concepts clearly, align expectations, and drive decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Product-oriented mindset to identify process and operational improvements proactively and partner with stakeholders to design, implement, and scale data-driven solutions.
  • Adaptability and curiosity to learn continuously and evolve with enterprise-level platforms.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
