Job Summary:
The Electrical Plant Manager is responsible for leading, expanding, and optimizing electrical operations across Alabama based facilities. This role will play a critical part in scaling operations, including increasing plant capacity while ensuring safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
The successful candidate will build and lead a high performing Alabama electrical team including Engineering, Design, and Production as well manage external contractors, collaborate closely with cross-functional Engineering, Production and QA teams to support ongoing and future projects.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. U.S. Operations Expansion & Capacity Growth
• Lead the planning and execution of electrical production expansion to support increasing of Alabama facilities.
• Develop and implement scalable electrical production systems, standards, and processes across Alabama facilities.
• Ensure all production activities meet regulatory, safety, and industry standards.
2. Team Development & Leadership
• Build, recruit, and develop an Alabama based electrical engineering and production team.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to ensure a high-performing organization.
• Establish skills development programs and secession planning.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. Contractor & Vendor Management
• Oversee and coordinate external electrical contractors.
• Develop contractor strategies to support expansion and ongoing plant needs.
• Manage contractor bidding processes, contract negotiations, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure contractors adhere to company safety standards and project timelines.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with Engineering, Production, and Project Management teams.
• Support execution of capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise on electrical systems for new and existing projects.
• Align electrical priorities with production targets and operational goals.
Job Qualifications:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field (required).
• 10+ years of experience in industrial or plant electrical systems.
• Proven experience in multi-site operations and facility expansion projects.
• Strong experience managing contractors and capital projects.
Technical Skills
• Deep understanding of industrial power systems, controls, and automation.
• Experience with large-scale electrical infrastructure, commissioning, and upgrades.
• Knowledge of U.S. regulatory standards (NEC, OSHA, NFPA).
