What you'll do...
Role summary:
Join Walmart as a Distinguished Software Engineer, leading the design and development of scalable, reliable software solutions aligned with business objectives. This role involves analyzing complex requirements, driving architectural decisions, and guiding teams through agile methodologies to deliver high-quality, maintainable code. The successful candidate will champion operational excellence, mentor peers, and innovate across cloud-native platforms while ensuring security and performance standards. By collaborating cross-functionally, this position supports continuous improvement and the advancement of Walmart's technology landscape to meet evolving customer and business needs.

What you'll do:
Lead technical strategy and architecture across the AAA Platform, aligning solutions to business priorities and MVP goals.
Drive cross-domain alignment within People Tech and across Enterprise Technology (Me@, Data Platform, Security, Infrastructure) to ensure scalable, interoperable platforms.
Design secure, reliable, and extensible architectures meeting functional and nonfunctional requirements.
Ensure high-quality engineering through strong coding standards, testing strategy, CI/CD excellence, and observability.
Mentor leaders and engineers, foster innovation, and drive adoption of modern engineering and AI best practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
