What you'll do...
Role summary:

The Director, Technology Operations leads the strategy, planning, and execution of large-scale technology and business initiatives supporting Walmart's cross-border logistics and transportation network. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end transportation strategy across B2C supply chains, including carrier performance management, cross-border transportation, returns, and development of new logistics capabilities. The Director partners across Product, Engineering, Operations, Transportation, and external carriers to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions while ensuring operational excellence, financial stewardship, and effective risk management. By leveraging technology, data, and industry best practices, this leader drives innovation, improves supply chain performance, and enables sustainable growth across Walmart's international commerce ecosystem.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of cross-border supply chain and transportation initiatives.
  • Drive carrier performance, transportation network optimization, and B2C logistics capabilities, including returns.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketplace, and external carriers to deliver scalable supply chain solutions.
  • Manage program budgets, roadmaps, risks, and operational performance to achieve business objectives.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships and influence decisions across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage data to improve transportation performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and the development of new logistics capabilities that support Walmart's global commerce strategy.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience leading complex supply chain, transportation, or logistics programs in a large-scale, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of carrier management, transportation operations, network optimization, and B2C fulfillment.
  • Proven expertise in program and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing across multiple teams and business units.
  • Comprehensive understanding of technology strategies, systems, and emerging trends relevant to large-scale operations.
  • Ability to define, plan, and monitor complex programs with risk assessment and mitigation capabilities.
  • Experience driving business operations through data-driven decision making and performance measurement.
  • Demonstrated leadership in aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals and delivering measurable value.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
