EY Career Residency Program

The 360 Careers Assurance EY Career Residency is a multi-phase early careers experience that combines real client work with skill development, coaching, relationship-building and ongoing feedback. Designed as a launchpad for career readiness, this paid and structured program extends beyond a traditional eight-week internship to help you build the mindset, skillset and toolset needed for success as an early career professional. Unlike a traditional internship, the EY Career Residency provides more time, support, and opportunities to develop the skills and experiences that will prepare you for a future career with EY.

The 360 Careers Assurance EY Career Residency experience includes two phases. A Client Service Immersion for the first three months which will continue into a five-month Skills Academy for Residents who receive and accept a full-time Analyst offer at the conclusion of the Client Service Immersion.

• Client Service Immersion - January 2028 - March 2028
  • Full-time commitment of 40+ hours per week
  • Primarily in-person work experience
  • Participants must reside within commuting distance of their assigned EY office throughout this phase
• Skills Academy - April 2028 - August 2028
  • Approximately 15-20 hours per month; conducted virtually
  • Includes a combination of live and asynchronous learning activities to support flexible participation
  • Participants may be located anywhere within the United States during this phase

The EY Residency program provides an early opportunity to build confidence, strengthen professional relationships, and develop skills that will support your long-term career journey and pathway into the 360 Careers Experience.

360 Careers is your journey through business, an experience designed to deliver world-class learning and immersive experiences that will allow you to shape your future with confidence. As a 360 Careers Assurance Analyst, you'll participate in structured, skills-based experiences called "expeditions" which support your career interest and expand your business knowledge to become a well-rounded professional. Expeditions may include experiences across the Assurance and Tax service lines within various sectors and account types.

The Assurance opportunity

The broad business perspective you gain in EY's Assurance practice will serve as a launch pad to your career, whether you stay at EY to partner or seek a role in the C-suite. Specifically, within our Technology Risk practice, you will provide clients with a candid and reliable overview of their risk landscape. Our solutions can be used by our clients to build confidence and trust with their customers. You will assist clients in employing proper information systems, resources, and controls to maximize efficiencies and minimize risk. You can expect to work with client personnel and EY professionals to analyze, evaluate, and enhance our client's information systems facilitating the Company's business processes.

We focus on a variety of industries including but not limited to:

• Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility, Power & Utilities, Health Sciences & Wellness, Consumer, and Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications. Staff will have exposure to clients in a variety of these industries.
• Candidates can elect to join the Government & Public Sector (GPS) practice and will work exclusively with federal clients, as well as state and local agencies and higher education institutions.
• Candidates can elect to join the Financial Services Organization (FSO) and will focus exclusively in financial services; they will have opportunities to serve leading investment banks, retail and commercial banks, insurers and investment managers.
• Whether you choose to join GPS, FSO, or pursue a broader industry focus, you will gain foundational skills for a rewarding career.

Your key responsibilities

• Understand and document clients' business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform control documentation and testing through review of client evidence and interviews.
• Collaborate with members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines, assign responsibilities for key tasks and prepare other planning documents.
• Monitor and manage project progress and risks, and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Create flowcharts and process documentation for relevant processes.
• Perform common work assignments and projects including but not limited to: System and Organization Controls ("SOC") reports, third-party risk assessments, IT risk and control framework design and assessments of automated and IT General Controls (ITGCs) as part of SOX and Financial Statement audits.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, information systems, or a related discipline; supported by a strong academic record.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale); a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred.
• Desire and educational requirements to pursue a relevant certification (CPA, CISA, CISSP, CA).
• Excellent English language communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship, currently and in the future.
• Maintain compliance with applicable EY policies, including independence and secondary employment.

• An interest in working with our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year
• Desire to work in IT audit as demonstrated by relevant course work, interest or internship experience.

• • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary are required.
  • In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites is required. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share, and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

• Ability to work independently and meet monthly milestone deadlines.
• Candidates interested in the Government & Public Sector industry must have U.S. citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher, within the designated time frame, which will be determined by the engagement requirements for a security clearance.

• The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $$37.50 - $48.08 per hour. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
