Job SummaryThe Verition Finance team is seeking a US Payroll Associate to own and manage payroll operations for our US entities. This role will be based in New York and will be primarily responsible for the US payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and an excellent employee experience across all US locations.
This role will report to the Head of Compensation.
Responsibilities- Execute and manage end-to-end payroll processing for all US entities and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Oversee payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of salaries, bonuses, benefits, overtime, taxes, statutory payments, and other deductions, including employee lifecycle changes such as hires, terminations, and compensation updates.
- Manage relationships with the appropriate payroll vendors, ensuring payroll submissions, filings, and reporting obligations are completed accurately and on time, while identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll regulatory requirements, including tax filings, statutory reporting, and jurisdiction-specific payroll obligations.
- Partner with HR to support accurate processing of compensation and benefits transactions and manage onboarding-related payments in accordance with employment contracts.
- Develop and maintain employee self-service resources and proactive communications, while managing payroll-related queries across multiple channels to deliver excellent employee experience.
- Establish and continuously improve payroll processes, controls, and audit practices to enhance accuracy, scalability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Support the onboarding of new office locations into payroll platforms and processes.
- Assist with internal and external payroll audits across jurisdictions.
- Collaborate closely with the payroll team to maintain consistent global payroll standards and share best practices.

Required Education & Experience- Experience using Workday Payroll.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant payroll experience, with significant hands-on experience running US payroll.
- Comprehensive knowledge of US payroll legislation, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing payroll across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven track record of process improvement.
Salary Range
$120,000-$155,000 USD
