Overview

Our Americas Rates Trading team are looking to hire a Vice President level trader for USD denominated rates products based in New York City. In the role, you will be responsible for market-making US dollar (USD) related bond products especially Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities and as part of our expanding franchise in coordination with our NY / global Sales & Trading. You will be coordinating with our local and global Sales & Trading team(s) to service clients across the globe.

What You’ll Do

  • Able to understand and interpret market trends and identify, communicate, and market trade ideas

  • Able to work in a high-paced environment under pressure

  • Lead as an excellent communicator (verbal and written) with strong interpersonal skills

  • Experienced with market-making, preferably in USD Rates instruments and specifically US Agency Mortgages

How You’ll Lead

  • You’ll interact closely with the rest of the rates and credit trading groups

  • You’ll work closely with our distribution force as we work towards expanding our franchise with key constituents such as the US government agencies and cash investors

  • You’ll work with risk and control partners to support our commitment to operating a controlled environment

Skills You’ll Need

  • A deep understanding of the asset class

  • A proven track-record in revenue generation

  • A proven track-record in sustaining/generating high quality market share

  • Proven risk management skills & strong quantitative skills

  • A deep understanding of capital and regulatory matters in Over-The-Counter (cash/derivatives) and Listed (futures) products

  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $180,000 to $250,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
