Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Robotic Urologist, you will join a team dedicated to truly optimizing healthcare for the communities we serve in Durango and the surrounding region. This position will provide exceptional urologic care while contributing to the delivery of the highest quality and most cost-effective healthcare within our integrated delivery system.

Every day you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad spectrum of urologic conditions in both the clinic and surgical settings. You will perform advanced robotic-assisted minimally invasive procedures, as well as open and endoscopic surgeries, treating conditions including urologic cancers, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stone disease, urinary incontinence, and other complex genitourinary disorders. You will collaborate closely with primary care providers, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, advanced practice providers, nursing teams, and surgical staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. As a key member of the surgical team, you will help expand access to advanced robotic surgery throughout Southwest Colorado while building strong relationships with referring providers and the communities you serve.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Urologist with fellowship training or significant experience in robotic-assisted surgery.
  • You will support organizational goals through clinical excellence, physician collaboration, exceptional patient experience, and community engagement.
  • Utilizing advanced robotic surgical technology, you will help expand access to minimally invasive urologic procedures while advancing a sustainable, growing, and distinctive organization dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities.
  • You will possess expertise in the medical and surgical management of complex urologic conditions, along with strong communication abilities, outstanding surgical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, referring providers, and multidisciplinary care teams.

Job Requirements

Required:
  • Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.
  • Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency ("DEA") registration;
  • Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;
  • Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
  • Active or eligible unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado
