Urgent Care Physician to join our
Urgent Care team.
As an Urgent Care Physician, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients while collaborating with advanced practice providers and other members of the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and excellent communication skills to care for patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and urgent medical conditions.
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform age-appropriate physical examinations.
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Perform procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, wound care, foreign body removal, and other office-based procedures within the physician's scope of practice.
- Recognize patients requiring a higher level of care and facilitate appropriate transfer or referral to the Emergency Department or specialty services.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations.
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate closely with advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, and ancillary staff to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain clinical competency through continuing education.
QualificationsLicense/Certification Requirements- Current California Physician license required.
- DEA registration required.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Experience- Minimum one (1) year of physician experience in an Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care setting required.
- Experience performing common urgent care procedures is highly desirable.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record preferred.
We offer a competitive total compensation and benefits package to our physicians. The total pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
Pay Range: $250,000 - $365,000 Total Cash Compensation
