What you will doThis Commodity Buyer is accountable for the Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management (QDCFTSR) of suppliers within the Cab Interior & Exterior segment (e.g. hoods, cabinets, roofs,seats, fire extinguishers, etc.). You will be responsible for making sure that the segment business plan isimplemented through the selection of the right suppliers, and by continuously securing supplier QDCFTSRperformance by using the tools and purchasing/cross-functional network during production and after productionfor Revenue segments.
This position will be based out of Greensboro, NC and will report to the Head of Uptime Purchasing North America.
Responsibilities will include:- Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies resulting in improved supply chain performance, enhancedproduct quality, innovative technology, and maximum value
- Drive negotiations and executive agreements with suppliers within the Cab Interior & Exterior segment
- Contribute to segment business plan & be an active member in the global network of Buyers
- Collaborate with other members of the global supply chain to successfully develop and execute globalsupply chain and technology strategies
- Use Volvo Production System (VPS) toolbox to drive efficiency across the supply chain
- Drive all relevant activities to deliver on Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and RiskManagement targets (QDCFTSR)
- Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in cooperation with the Supply Network Quality (SNQ) team
- Forecast cost evolution for scope of responsibility
- Manage and negotiate product/processes changes during production phase and after production phase forRevenue segments
Who are you?- 3+ years of strategic purchasing experience (e.g. contracts, supplier negotiations, sourcing, etc.)
- Experience within the manufacturing industry
- Proven negotiation skills
- Strong business acumen, agile in way of working
- Desire to work in a collaborative team towards a common purpose
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field, or equivalent working experience

For this position, the base pay is set at $72,590.00 - $89,670.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.
