Position Description: We CGI is for a motivated and detail-oriented Unix/Linux Operations Specialist to join our team supporting a leading global Bank client.
This role is to support patch deployment, implementation, scheduling, coordination, and governance activities across infrastructure platforms. You will also contribute to patch operations, automation, tooling integration, and compliance activities to help maintain secure, reliable, and well-managed technology environments.
The ideal candidate brings strong Unix/Linux operational experience, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively across technical and client teams.
This is a Full-Time, On-Site employment opportunity located in Jacksonville, FL in a Hybrid Model.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Support patch deployment, implementation, scheduling, coordination and governance activities across infrastructure platforms.
Deliver patch operations, automation, tooling integration and compliance activities to ensure secure and reliable services.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: At least 5 years of experience in Unix/Linux:
• Strong experience with Unix/Linux operating system administration, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience with patch management, including patch deployment, implementation, scheduling, coordination, validation, and issue resolution.
• Experience supporting security vulnerability remediation and ensuring patches are deployed within required timelines.
• Experience with scripting and automation to streamline patching and operational activities, such as Shell/Bash, Perl, Python, or similar technologies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $198,400.00.
