The current need/reasons for recruiting are:- MUSC is seeking a visionary Division Chief of Pediatric Neurology who can rebuild, recruit, innovate, and establish MUSC as the referral destination for children with neurologic disease throughout South Carolina and the Southeast.
- The Department of Pediatrics, MUSC Children's Health, and the College of Medicine have made a substantial long-term commitment to growth, including approved strategic expansion to 13 pediatric neurologist faculty positions and six advanced practice provider positions.
- The Division is undergoing strategic rebuilding following several anticipated and unanticipated faculty departures, creating an exceptional opportunity for the next Chief to recruit a new generation of faculty and shape the future of pediatric neuroscience across the state.

PRACTICE INFORMATIONMUSC Pediatric NeurologyThe Division of Pediatric Neurology provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for children with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, headaches, movement disorders, and other complex conditions. The program is multidisciplinary and includes pediatric neurologists, neurosurgeons, nurses, therapists, advanced practice providers, and other neuroscience partners.
The Division also supports an ACGME-accredited Child Neurology Residency Program that combines pediatric and neurology training and creates an important pipeline for future academic faculty recruitment.
CURRENT STRATEGIC MOMENTMUSC is undertaking a comprehensive reinvestment in Pediatric Neurology through active faculty recruitment, advanced practice provider expansion, PRN coverage, innovative remote EEG partnerships, and a national search for visionary leadership. JOB DESCRIPTION AND LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS- Serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Neurology and provide strategic, clinical, academic, and administrative leadership for the Division.
- Develop and execute a bold vision for pediatric neuroscience in partnership with the Department of Pediatrics, MUSC Children's Health, the College of Medicine, and key neuroscience stakeholders.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain outstanding faculty and advanced practice providers across pediatric neurology and aligned subspecialty areas.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS- Nationally respected pediatric neurologist with demonstrated success in academic leadership.
- Board certification in Pediatric Neurology and eligibility for licensure in South Carolina.
