The Unit Manager is responsible for the nursing services and oversight of social programming for all residents on his/her assigned unit for a twenty-four (24) hour basis; involves communication with physicians, families, co-workers and other health care professionals, management and evaluation of nursing staff performance, hiring, and the termination of staff. This individual is responsible for nursing care reporting, documentation planning, implementation and evaluation.

- Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff - with a strong focus on CNA support and performance
- Set clear expectations for care delivery, accountability, and teamwork
Clinical Oversight & Resident Care- Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans
- Monitor clinical indicators and proactively address resident needs
- Ensure high standards in documentation, infection control, and regulatory compliance
Family & Physician Communication- Serve as a key point of contact for families and providers
- Communicate changes in condition and care plans clearly and professionally
- Address concerns and support service recovery when needed
Operations & Staffing- Manage daily staffing, call-ins, and scheduling needs
- Participate in hiring, performance management, and staff development
- Conduct daily rounds to ensure quality and environment standards are met
QualificationsUnit Manager (RN) - Skilled Nursing - What We're Looking For:- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - New York State
- Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care setting
- Prior leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, Supervisor) required
- Strong ability to lead, coach, and hold staff accountable
- Experience working with CNA teams and developing newer staff
- Confidence in handling family communication, clinical oversight, and regulatory expectations
- Experience with dementia population strongly preferred
