Full Job Description
We have a new opportunity for a full-time Unit Manager with Infection Prevention responsibilities! This position will work at our 5 star CCRC in West Caldwell! The Unit Manager role offers a full range of benefits and a competitive salary up to $115,00!

Education/Training/Certifications:
  • BSN with current RN license. MSN or MPH preferred.
  • Association for Practitioners in Infection Control (APIC) training course, Infection Preventionist training or equivalent will be required after hire.
  • Previous experience in teaching, curriculum development and instruction design is desired.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred.

Skill(s):
  • Effective communication skills, basic computer skills.

Experience:

Minimum of five years clinical experience in a hospital or long-term care setting or disease surveillance experience in a public health setting.

General Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility for the development, implementation and administration of organization-wide systems for the prevention and control of infections as well as maintaining compliance with accrediting, licensing, and governing agency expectations related to infection prevention and control program. Manages SNU nursing staff and clinical coordination of care within unit. Collaborates with DON to ensure all annual education and competencies of staff are completed.
