Qualifications

• University degree (BAC) and/or 10 years of relevant pricing experience, with at least 5 years as a rate maker in the mid-market.
• ALU designation (an asset).
• FLMI designation (an asset).
• Advanced knowledge of English for daily communication with English-speaking clients and partners across Canada.
• Excellent financial analysis skills.
• Strong ability to communicate and clarify complex concepts using expertise.
• Outstanding negotiation skills.
• Customer-oriented with a mindset of continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risks in life insurance, critical illness, and disability, providing high-level expertise for advanced financial selection.
• Produce top-quality assessments with a service turnaround of less than 24 hours.
• Negotiate with reinsurers and sales teams.
• Offer consulting, support, and mentorship as a resource for financial analysis within pricing teams.
• Share knowledge with various departments, including oversight and quality control of agents and MGAs.
• Collaborate closely with the financial and fiscal solutions team to provide comprehensive service, including preliminary analysis of large case pricing files to generate new business, and be available for Mid Market pricing inquiries.
• Deliver presentations and training sessions on Mid Market pricing to MGAs and advisors regarding pricing philosophy, new guidelines, or clarifications of existing rules.
