Your Role: As an underwriter, you'll be at the heart of our operations, driving success by evaluating submissions, handling customer requests and building strong relationships. Key Responsibilities: - Evaluate and underwrite: Assess and manage submissions with precision, adhering to our guidelines and delegated authority
- Customer engagement: Address quotes, re-quotes and endorsements with a customer-first mindset, ensuring top-tier service
- Relationship building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and driving business growth
- Collaborative approach: Partner with teams across Underwriting as well as Business Development, Claims, IT and more, contributing to a unified and effective operation
- Innovative contribution: Stay ahead of the curve by researching market trends, analyzing competitive information and supporting product development

Qualifications: - Experience:
- 3+ years of underwriting experience in Management and Professional Liability, Commercial Property and Casualty, or Personal lines OR
- 5+ years of experience in other insurance roles, such as claims or sales
- Insurance-related course work (CPCU, RPLU, etc.) is a plus
- Travel: Ability to travel at least monthly to drive effective customer interactions
Salary Range: $70,000 to $125,000 What We Offer: One of the advantages of working at USLI is the competitive salary and benefits program we offer full-time and eligible part-time employees.
