About the Opportunity We are looking to hire an Underground Supervisor to join our Bell Creek Mine in Timmins, ON., on a full-time basis. The schedule for this position is 5-5-4 rotation, days and nights; 12-hour shifts Compensation: This position offers a salary range of $115,000- $130,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience. Vacancy Status: This is an existing vacancy. The successful candidate may begin as soon as possible. Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position. The role of the Underground Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations and direct supervision of your own crew and deployment of materials and equipment to meet safety and production requirements in your own area of responsibility. Reporting to the Mine General Foreman, the Underground Supervisor will have the following responsibilities:
Ensure operations comply with legislative, company, and site regulations.
Ensure compliance with H&S and Environmental
Ensure employees are trained before performing the work.
Assign employees specific work assignments each shift to meet production targets daily, weekly, and monthly.
Ensure workers are monitored during the shift and coaching and training as required.
Responsible for the deployment of materials and equipment to meet safety and production requirements in your own area of responsibility.
Inspect all work and request corrective actions.
Manages employee performance and adherence to the Company's policies and procedures on-site including quality of work, discipline, absences, and vacation scheduling.
Keeps a pulse of the workforce to maintain positive employee attitude and participation.
Takes responsibility for aspects of occupational health and safety, and environmental matters, over which the individual has control, including adherence to all requirements applicable to Lake Shore Gold Corporation
Special projects may be assigned from time to time
Any other duties as assigned

Minimum 5-10 years of related mining experience.
Supervisory Common Core is required.
