Full Job Description
We are seeking a Underground Mining Engineer Consultant. Description of Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide technical support and focused consulting advice on exploration/mining projects for North American and international clients. The work will typically include contribution to technical studies, due diligence, operational assistance and project management. As a Mining Engineer this position also includes the expectation to develop and maintain a client network in collaboration with the Ontario mining team. There will be an opportunity and expectation to continuously develop your technical skills and industry knowledge to further assist the SRK Ontario team, with offices in Sudbury and Toronto. Essential Requirements:
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in mining engineering or related field;
  • Up to 5 years of practical operational and/or mining experience in a variety of situations;
  • Proficiency in either Deswik, Studio 5DP or related software;
  • Sufficient knowledge of the main aspects of mineral projects to enable identification of study risks and opportunities;
  • Demonstrated project and self-management skills;
  • Proven ability to independently (or as part of a team) generate, implement and complete multiple work assignments in a dynamic environment;
  • Highly effective in written and oral communication skills
Desired Requirements:
  • Fluency in both English and French
The estimated base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $125,000. The salary offered will be commensurate with relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
