Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct outpatient care to GI and Hepatology patients Uhealth Doral and/or Solé Miá in North Miami [9 half days]. Sole Mia is Opening fall 2025. He/she will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services to those patients who require Gastroenterology/ Hepatology services, and Gastroenterology screening procedures.

Outline of additional responsibilities include but are not Limited to:

  • Maintain outpatient clinic and endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral/Solé Miá


  • Rotate on night and weekend on call on medical campus at UHT and JMH proportionate to other physicians


  • Rotate on inpatient at UHT or JMH proportionate to other providers

    Qualifications:


  • MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency and GI fellowship


  • Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible)


  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology/Hepatology(or board eligible)


  • Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)


  • Valid DEA licensure


  • Current BLS certification required. ACLS


  • Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures for prior two years for credentialling


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.


  • Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements


  • Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care


  • Close encounters within 72 hours.
