Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate complete proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and related systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards in radiology practices.
  • Provide technologist's tentative readings when required.
  • Assist physicians during invasive ultrasound procedures.
  • Accurately enter patient study information into clinical systems.
  • Coordinate workflow and patient care activities effectively.
  • Obtain clinical histories and necessary documentation for examinations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and utilize patient identifiers consistently.
  • Support the training and development of students and new staff in department procedures.
  • Act as a liaison to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction across departments.

Job Details

Shift:

  • 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday
  • No weekends, holidays, or call.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of Ultrasound equipment, radiology supported computer systems, and CD burners.
 Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations.
 Demonstrates ability to provide technologists tentative readings as needed.
 Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in assisting physicians during invasive procedures.
 Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
 Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.
 Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination, completes necessary measurement documentation, and obtains appropriate consent.
 Maintains patient confidentiality.
 Uses 3 patient identifiers at all times.
 Actively assists in the learning process of students and new staff in departmental procedures and quality control.
 Demonstrates problem solving skills, acts as liaison OP Imaging department, clinicians, nursing, and ancillary departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
 Ability to assess patients for changes in patient status.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have ultrasound breast experience.
  • ARDMS registered at minimum in Abdomen: RDMS(AB) and/or OB/GYN: RDMS(OB/GYN).
  • Breast Center will accept, at minimum, RDMS (BR) obtained prior to 2011 with Abdomen or OB/GYN
  • required within 1 year of hire.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 ARDMS registered at minimum in Abdomen: RDMS(AB) and/or OB/GYN: RDMS(OB/GYN).
 Breast Center will accept, at minimum, RDMS (BR) obtained prior to 2011 with Abdomen or OB/GYN required within 1 year of hire.

This position pays $38.13 to $52.43 based on experience.

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
