Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:

The UI/UX Designer owns the end-to-end experience design process - from discovery and wireframes through high-fidelity UI and developer handoff. You will lead user-centered design thinking across our web properties, working closely with marketing, developers, and fellow designers to elevate the quality and consistency of every digital touchpoint. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable mapping a user journey and crafting the pixel-perfect screen that brings it to life.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

UX Research & Strategy

  • Plan and conduct user research activities including stakeholder interviews, usability tests, and competitive analyses to inform design decisions.
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, and task flows that reflect the needs of our guests across the booking and discovery experience.
  • Identify friction points and opportunities across web properties and advocate for user-centered improvements with clear rationale.
  • Translate quantitative data (analytics, heatmaps, A/B test results) into actionable design insights.

Interaction Design & Prototyping

  • Create wireframes, interaction flows, and clickable prototypes in Figma that communicate design intent at every level of fidelity.
  • Design intuitive, accessible interfaces for web and mobile experiences - spanning landing pages, promotional campaigns, booking flows, and content pages.
  • Run rapid design iterations based on feedback from stakeholders, peers, and usability findings.
  • Define and document interaction patterns, micro-animations, and edge-case states that ensure a complete, production-ready experience.

UI Design & Design System

  • Produce high-fidelity visual designs that balance brand expression with usability and conversion goals.
  • Actively contribute to and maintain the shared design system - building and documenting reusable components, tokens, and usage guidelines.
  • Ensure visual consistency across all digital properties by applying established brand standards and flagging deviations for resolution.
  • Create and maintain design specifications, redlines, and assets that enable smooth developer handoff.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Partner with web designers, front-end developers, and marketing teams throughout the design and build process to ensure design intent is preserved in production.
  • Participate in sprint planning, design critiques, and retrospectives as part of an Agile workflow managed in Jira.
  • Clearly present and defend design decisions to stakeholders at all levels, framing choices in terms of user needs and business goals.
  • Travel periodically to resort properties and international offices to gather first-hand context and support on-site initiatives.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong UX process alongside polished UI craft: research artifacts, wireframes, flows, and final screens.
  • Solid understanding of interaction design principles, information architecture, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
  • Experience conducting usability tests or user interviews and synthesizing findings into prioritized recommendations.
  • Comfort working with data - able to read analytics dashboards and use quantitative insights to support or challenge design decisions.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to explain design rationale persuasively to both designers and non-designers.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team with developers and product or marketing stakeholders

  • Familiarity with front-end implementation - enough to design within technical constraints and collaborate effectively on handoff.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing e-commerce, booking, or conversion-focused flows.
