Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance team to support A24's growing TV business. This role sits at the intersection of deal analysis, corporate finance and operational execution - you will be the analytical engine behind our TV slate, building the models that greenlight shows, identifying areas of risk and opportunity, analyzing development spend and the reporting on KPIs. You will be a true business partner, working directly alongside TV leadership, helping to scale our TV business.

This is a demanding role as deal negotiations move on their own timeline - term sheets, talent deals, and financial model revisions do not always arrive during business hours, and this role requires the responsiveness to match. In return, you will gain direct insight into how a world-class TV business operates, from how deals are structured to how slates are built.

Responsibilities:

Deal Analysis
  • Build and maintain greenlight financial models for scripted and unscripted TV projects across A24's Los Angeles, New York, and London operations - incorporating episodic budgets, license fees, and multi-territory tax incentives to produce project-level P&Ls and ultimates.
  • Develop a deep command of residuals and complex talent participations - including backend structures, defined proceeds formulas, and guild obligations - ensuring these are accurately reflected in our models.
  • Model and analyze the interest cost implications of different production cash flow, tax credit and license fee timing scenarios to inform deal negotiations.
  • Work closely with Business Affairs to model, compare, and contrast competing deal structures - evaluating the financial trade-offs between terms, rights packages, and financing arrangements, and providing clear recommendations on what creates the most value for A24.
  • Develop fluency across A24's range of TV business models, including: worldwide cost-plus arrangements with global streamers; deficit-financed projects with multi-window foreign sales strategies; and co-production structures with international partners.
  • Track and reconcile episodic and seasonal production actuals against approved greenlight estimates, maintaining real-time visibility into budget overages, scope changes, and contingency usage.

FP&A
  • Own the long-range financial plan for the TV slate, consolidating project-level forecasts into a comprehensive annual operating plan and quarterly reforecast, integrated with A24's corporate financial model.
  • Maintain dynamic cash flow forecasts at both the project and slate level
  • Conduct variance analysis - actuals vs. budget vs. prior forecast - surfacing root causes of material changes.
  • Design and build systems and processes to track, analyze, and report on development spend across the active TV slate - creating scalable infrastructure that provides leadership with accurate, real-time visibility into commitments, spend and KPIs.
  • Support the annual budgeting cycle by building detailed project-level budget submissions.
  • Produce regular reports for senior leadership (including KPIs, budget pacing and slate performance).

Operations
  • Serve as the primary finance liaison to the TV Development, Production and Business Affairs teams across LA, New York, and the UK - attending greenlight meetings, participating in production planning sessions, and proactively flagging financial and operational risks.
  • Work closely with Corporate Finance, Production Finance, and Legal to deliver timely and accurate cash flow forecasts and supporting project-level financing close processes.
  • Collaborate with the Sales teams to model and update revenue assumptions as deals are executed across domestic and international windows, ensuring models reflect the latest market intelligence.
  • Maintain A24's TV project databases and financial tracking infrastructure - including Airtable-based production trackers and Pigment or equivalent FP&A tooling - ensuring data integrity and accessibility across functions.
  • Prepare materials for internal leadership meetings, board-level reviews, and occasional external investor or lender presentations, synthesizing complex multi-project financial narratives into clean, compelling decks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data flow and information sharing across Corporate Finance, TV, Production Finance, and Business Affairs - and driving the implementation of scalable solutions that reduce friction and increase cross-functional visibility.
  • Actively leverage AI tools and automation to streamline financial workflows - from model-building and variance analysis to reporting and data consolidation - continuously identifying opportunities to work smarter and free up capacity for higher-value analysis.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in entertainment finance, investment banking, or corporate finance. Prior exposure to TV/film production finance or content deal analysis strongly preferred. Studio, streamer, or media company background a plus.
  • Expert-level Excel with clean, auditable model architecture. Proficiency in dynamic scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and waterfall structures. Familiarity with Pigment, a plus.
  • Comfortable building and maintaining structured databases in Airtable or similar tools. PowerPoint fluency required.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial models into clear, non-jargon executive narratives.
  • Humble, diligent, and solution-oriented with a genuine interest in TV.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze legal contracts, identifying key financial terms.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP financial reporting and the ability to analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present financial information to diverse audiences, including senior management.

Our target salary range for this role is between $110,000 to $135,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
