Job DescriptionSUMMARY Manage refinery equipment reliability by improving availability, production, quality, safety, and environmental integrity. Focusing on refinery goals and optimum asset life expectancy at minimal cost. Analyze and design procedures for equipment applications, installations, operation, and preservation. Responsible for maintenance of CMMS equipment and material master data and for ongoing development/maintenance of work management processes within the CMMS. In addition to reliability he also has responsibility over Warehouse and inventory mgmt., EAM administrator, Turnaround budget/planning/schedule, and Mechanical Integrity oversight.
Has primary responsibility for Cross Oil refinery, Sandyland and Miller's Bluff facilities. Provide support as needed to Martin Lubricants/Packaging.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Major Responsibility Areas
- Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of a preventative maintenance program for rotating, fixed and electrical equipment.
- Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of a predictive maintenance program for rotating and electrical equipment.
- Be a technical resource of generally good and recognized engineering practices for mechanical integrity program.
- Responsible for extracting data from the CMMS program to identify bad actors and develop a plan to improve MTBF of this equipment.
- Establishes and monitors the predictive/preventive maintenance program for reliability of critical and essential equipment. This includes record keeping, inspection techniques, recommending corrective action and management reporting.
- Reviews/develops the specifications for all rotating equipment and works with other engineers on specifications for upgrading existing equipment.
- Assists in the implementation and commissioning of all new rotating equipment.
- Recommends and administers technical training or assistance to less experienced people in the plant.
- Provides technical help in trouble-shooting on rotating equipment and associated systems.
- Gives recommendations and follows them through to completion as required for repairs/improvement.
- Provides input on turnaround/shutdown needs and provides support during turnaround activities.
- Works closely with daily Maintenance Planning and Scheduling work activities.
- Continuous focus and compliance on Safety.
- Design and oversee installation of Maintenance projects from a reliability perspective.
- Perform and support problem solving and root cause analysis on equipment failures.
- Review equipment criticality codes and coordinates change if necessary.
- Write Equipment Repair Procedures and Standard Job Procedures.
- Interface with Corporate IT regarding CMMS upgrades/changes.
- Manage CMMS user access and authorization requirements and any associated changes.
- Develop/maintain a CMMS "power user" base by identifying and selecting personnel for detailed training on the system from each site department. Handle all site specific system configurations such as object classes and characteristics, Functional Location catalog profiles, etc.
- Setup and maintain a work process and procedures for creating, changing and archiving equipment, field positions and Bills-of-Materials.
- Ensure that the equipment, field positions, Bills-of-Materials master and detailed CMMS data records are up to date and accurate.

- Continuously work on improving CMMS site implementation by exploring/implementing new system functionality to support industry best practices, which will in turn improve plant reliability.

Job Requirements EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - BS degree in Engineering preferred.
- Level II Certified in one or more predictive maintenance technologies.
- 10+ years experience in refinery maintenance or related industry.
- Minimum of five years supervisory experience.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Ability to work self directed.
- Ability to make sound decisions.
- Strong computer skills.
- RCM training a plus.
- Ability to develop departmental budget and operate within budget throughout the year.
- Knowledge of leading and participating in teams.
- Ability to effectively communicate with written and oral skills.
- Ability to record and interpret historical data.
- Ability to coordinate and change methods of thinking to conform to goals set by management.
- Experience in work planning and scheduling methods.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings.

Job Requirements
. - Knowledge of industrial codes related to refinery equipment (API, ASME, NEC, etc.).
- Good working knowledge of various maintenance trades.
- Knowledge of implementing and participating in Continuous Improvement Procedures.
- Well versed in CMMS, failure analysis, and KPI's for maintenance.
