SummaryThe Tunnel Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Project Quality Management Plan for a major railway tunnel infrastructure project.
The role will oversee all QA/QC activities associated with TBM excavation, precast segmental lining, waterproofing, grouting, cross passages, shafts, and associated civil works, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
Main Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan.
- Lead and oversee QA/QC activities throughout tunnelling and associated civil works.
- Ensure quality compliance during TBM excavation activities.
- Oversee quality requirements for precast segmental lining, waterproofing, and grouting works.
- Manage quality control activities associated with cross passages, shafts, and other underground works.
- Supervise inspections and testing activities.
- Manage quality documentation, records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Conduct quality audits and monitor compliance with project requirements.
- Implement and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate closely with the client, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 10 hours per day, including a 1-hour lunch break.
RequirementsRequirements- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
- Strong experience in Quality Management and QA/QC within major civil infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience in tunnelling and underground construction projects.
- Knowledge of quality requirements associated with TBM excavation and tunnelling operations.
- Experience with precast segmental lining, waterproofing, grouting, shafts, and associated civil works.
- Strong knowledge of inspections, testing procedures, quality documentation, and non-conformance management.
- Experience conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to interpret contractual requirements, approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
- Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- English level: C1 (Advanced).
