Responsibilities

  • Conduct root cause analysis and support quality investigations like 4D and 8D.
  • Ensure execution of Gauge R&R studies and respond to audit-related follow-ups.

Full Job Description
The TT Engineering Supervisor Quality Management will: Ensure that Quality Control plan is in place and effective for assigned area(s) and that work instructions are accurate and in compliance with Central PoMs and IATF. Ensure Plant compliance to Corporate Quality standards and Strategic Quality Objectives. Provide support to assigned area management team, sister plants, Central and local requests. Lead in data analysis and provide support for root cause evaluation. Supervise Quality Technicians. 1. Supervise CTD Analysis Tech,Tire Cutter Technician. 2. Analyze benchmark results of internal cross-plant comparisons concerning quality objectives and cost using the Global Quality Score Card (GQSC), Central Controlling or Customer Service reports. 3. Perform statistical and capability analysis of data, put into presentation format with reporting. 4. Lead and assist with TS16949 certification and compliance. 5. Lead support and assist with local QMS requirements, and departmental work instructions (creation, revision and maintenance) along with other Quality Objectives. 6. Provide support and assistance with 4D and 8D investigations and root cause analysis. 7. Support and promote local and global Quality initiatives, steer and lead Quality projects 8. Ensure that yearly assigned Gauge R&R studies are performed and reported. 9. Provide support and follow up analysis for FOCUS and FAM topics. 10. Perform capability studies and analysis for NAR new equipment and process release. 11. Prepare for and support yearly audits including Internal, Customer, PPS and IATF. 12. Provides support for PCT, sister plants and Central requests. 13. Responsible for tracking audit findings for assigned areas and follow-up so that corrective actions are in place and implemented according to committed timing. 14. Perform other duties as directed by the QA Engineering Group Leader and QM Department Manager. 15. initiate corrective actions for deviations from set Quality objectives, control their effectiveness and sustainability through the application of standard Quality Core Tools such as Structured Problem Solving (SPS), 8D, Lessons Learned, Audits, FMEA. 16. Limited Local and International Travel. 17. Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored. NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required, Quality Engineering preferred 5+ years QA experience preferred Leadership experience preferred Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes. - The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. - The role involves various physical tasks, including ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, stoop/bend, work in a hi-heat environment. Ability to manipulate a Truck Tire. - Some lifting required in the medium to heavy range. - Work any shift or hours to accomplish job task. - Travel as required.
