Full Job Description
UB Greensfelder currently has an opening for an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in estate planning and tax to join our Trusts & Estates Practice Group in the St. Louis office.

Our Trusts & Estates attorneys counsel families and individuals regarding the administration and disposition of their estates through basic and sophisticated lifetime, estate and charitable planning. Attorneys in this department also work with our corporate clients on succession issues and our charitable institution clients on planned giving matters. Missouri law license is required.

Qualified Applicants Will Have:
  • Experience with federal transfer tax and related income tax matters, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax.
  • Experience with estate and wealth planning techniques, including drafting and implementing related documents such as revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.
  • Experience with advanced estate and tax planning strategies, including defective grantor trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), installment sales to grantor trusts, and charitable remainder trusts (CRTs).
  • Experience drafting premarital and marital agreements in the context of wealth preservation and planning.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with respect to complex state law and federal tax issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
