Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Economics, Business, or related fields
• 3-5 years of experience in trust and safety or related fields with UGC moderation
• Experience managing external moderation vendors, contractors, and BPOs
• Strong proficiency with Zendesk, SharePoint, MS Office, and other technology
• Advanced skills in Excel and/or SQL for report preparation
• Ability to analyze complex cases and produce evidence-based conclusions
• Cultural awareness of current trends in the U.S., with multilingual skills (Spanish, French, German) highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations with external moderation vendors including budgeting and quality assurance
• Act as primary contact for escalated safety investigations and appeals
• Conduct thorough investigations into reported content violations
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly moderation reports using Excel and SQL
• Collaborate with CANVAS and Brand Safety teams to formulate content guidelines
• Work with stakeholders to improve safety policies for creators and readers
• Stay updated on current events to assist with policy research
