Full Job Description
Traveling Safety Manager

The FCC Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing, enforcing, and continuous improvement of FCC's safety and health programs across multiple job sites or regions. This position plays a critical role in training project teams, ensuring compliance with OSHA and FCC standards, and leading proactive risk management practices.

Reporting to the Director of Safety, this position partners closely with operations leadership to align safety with project delivery, financial goals, and FCC's broader performance culture. The FCC Safety Manager brings both field experience and leadership presence, capable of influencing teams, mentoring junior team members, and fostering a proactive safety culture that aligns with FCC's mission, vision, and values.

Role: This role will provide on-site project safety management for extended periods as needed and provide regional support for multiple projects throughout Frampton's service area from one of our offices.
Core Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Compliance

  • Conduct routine and comprehensive jobsite inspections, hazard assessments, and audits.
  • Verify compliance with FCC safety programs, OSHA standards, and site-specific requirements.
  • Serve as FCC field's primary resource for interpreting and enforcing safety policy.
  • Partner with Field Managers and Project Managers to integrate safety into daily operations, project schedules, and preconstruction planning.
Incident Prevention, Response, & Investigation
  • Lead investigations for all recordable incidents, near misses, and first aids; determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Director of Safety, General Superintendent, and COO.
  • Coordinate follow-up reviews to verify effectiveness of corrective measures.
  • Participate in trend analysis and contribute to FCC's risk mitigation initiatives.
Training, Communication, & Engagement
  • Lead orientations, toolbox talks, and targeted field training sessions.
  • Coach project leadership on proactive safety management and communication.
  • Promote engagement through field presence, one-on-one coaching, and open feedback.
  • Support FCC's safety recognition programs and team-wide safety campaigns.
Program & Data Management
  • Implement FCC's core safety programs and update site-specific safety plans (SSSPs).
  • Use FCC's technology platforms to track safety metrics, inspections, and training completion.
  • Analyze leading and lagging indicators to identify trends and develop action plans.
  • Maintain all required safety documentation, reports, and regulatory records.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Mentor emerging safety and operations professionals through consistent coaching and field feedback.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure that excellence in project execution and safety goals are aligned.
  • Partner with the Director of Safety, General Superintendent, and COO to recommend policy enhancements, process improvements, and training opportunities.
  • Represent the Safety Department during client meetings, project kickoffs, and closeout reviews.

Experience & Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety and three years of full time construction safety management experience, or
  • Board-certified safety credential from a nationally-recognized organization (i.e. CSP, CIH, ASP, or CHST) and five years of full-time construction safety management experience, or
  • Current OSHA 500 certification and six years of full-time construction safety management experience.
  • Location: Preference to CLT based individuals
