Manassas, VA: The "Sweet Spot" for Travel Healthcare
If you're looking for a Northern Virginia assignment that doesn't eat your entire stipend on rent, Manassas is your best bet. It serves as a strategic, affordable home base that keeps you connected to the high-intensity medical hubs of D.C. and Fairfax without the downtown price tag.
Why it Works for Travelers
  • Affordability: Your housing stipend goes further here than in Arlington or Alexandria, offering better value for modern apartments or quiet residential rentals.
  • Historic "Old Town" Vibes: When you're off the clock, Old Town Manassas is a walkable retreat with local breweries, unique dining, a massive Farmers Market, and a vibrant arts scene.
  • Proximity to Adventure: You're perfectly positioned between the urban energy of Washington D.C. and the outdoor escape of Shenandoah National Park (only about an hour away).
