Registered Nurse - General Surgery/Trauma PracticeDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:Join a collaborative and fast-paced General Surgery/Trauma Practice that provides comprehensive outpatient care for surgical and trauma patients across the continuum. Our team partners closely with surgeons, advanced practitioners, nurses, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care focused on clinical excellence, care coordination, patient education, and positive outcomes.- This ambulatory nursing role provides direct patient care, telephone triage, patient education, care coordination, and clinical support for trauma and surgical patients across the continuum of care.
- The RN works collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, patients, and families to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting safety, efficiency, and positive patient outcomes.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Provide telephone triage and clinical support for trauma and general surgery patients
- Administer and monitor therapeutic interventions and treatments
- Coordinate care with providers and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, medications, and follow-up care
- Support transitions of care and identify barriers impacting patient outcomes
- Promote patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and support new staff, nursing students, and team members as appropriate
- Maintain clinical competencies and compliance with regulatory standards
SCHEDULE:- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday

QUALIFICATIONS:- Current Massachusetts RN license required
- BLS CPR certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience preferred; 10-months required
- Previous experience in trauma, surgery, Med-Surg, ambulatory care, OR, PACU, or related specialty preferred
- Strong triage, assessment, communication, and care coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
