Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the trauma program to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Manage trauma patient and family care processes alongside nursing departments.
  • Supervise trauma performance improvement and patient safety activities.
  • Prepare materials for monthly trauma performance improvement committee meetings.

Job Description:

Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)
  • Identifies educational needs of nursing staff and facilitates specific education in conjunction with department leadership.
  • Supports outreach education in cooperation with Trauma Outreach Manager and pre-hospital services.
  • Collaborates with local, regional, and national injury prevention and community outreach initiatives.
  • Oversees daily operations of the trauma program to ensure optimal care for injured patients.
  • Collaborates with nursing and other patient care departments to manage trauma patient and family care processes.
  • Supervises trauma performance improvement and patient safety activities in conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director.
  • Prepares and assists with monthly trauma performance improvement committee meetings.
