Job Summary and Qualifications

  • You will work in concert with the Trauma Medical Director and hospital leadership to assure optimal trauma patient care services, quality outcomes and compliance with local, state, and national standards for Trauma Center designation and verification
  • You will continually strives to achieve successful outcomes for all care and programs associated with the trauma service, serves as operational director for all internal/ external program initiatives and requirements as defined by the local designating entity, and the American College of Surgeons Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient Guidelines
  • You will be closely involved with administrative operations, financial support, clinical services, educational activities, outreach initiatives, and research activities of the Trauma Center. This position maintains responsibility/accountability for 24-hour day management.


What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
  • BSN, Master's Degree in Nursing or related health field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years nursing experience required
  • 3 years recent experience in Trauma nursing required
  • Trauma program experience required. Quality/Performance Improvement preferred
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Preferred. TNCC instructor preferred
  • Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of California
  • Strong computer and hospital informatics skills: Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills ability to communicate with patients, physicians, and staff as appropriate.
  • Public speaking skills. Strong networking abilities. Attend TOPIC course within one year of hire.

We are the only Level II Trauma Center in East Ventura County. We are known for providing excellent care with compassion and kindness to each of our patients. In addition, Los Robles Regional Medical Center features a 24-hour emergency department, comprehensive stroke center, ICU/CCU, maternity, Level III NICU, comprehensive cancer center, heart & cardiovascular center, same day surgery, and rehab center.
