Description:

Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the care of trauma patients from the time of injury through the continuum of care.  Ensure care is safe, effective, patient centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.  Collaborate with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager to review the performance and safety of the Trauma Program.  Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to monitor, evaluate, and improve all phases of trauma care.  Represent the Medical Center on a local and regional level to support trauma system development, injury prevention, and public awareness. This position reports to the Trauma Program Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Master’s preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California is required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required. Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within ninety (90) days of hire.
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required within six (6) months of hire into position.
  • National Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) is required.
  • 3 years clinical experience in the emergency department and/or as a trauma experience.
  • Possession of critical thinking, analytical, teaching/coaching and research skills.
  • Familiar with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and basic computer skills.

Pay Range ($57.17 – $82.90)
