Transportation Project Manager - Atlanta, GA/Augusta, GA

Our growing Georgia Division is looking for an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead transportation projects and help grow our practice across Georgia. In this role, you'll manage project teams, budgets, schedules, and client relationships while staying involved in the technical side of the work. You'll support roadway, highway, and infrastructure design, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects for Georgia DOT, local agencies, municipalities, and private clients.

This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to business development, build lasting client relationships, pursue new work, and help shape the growth of our Atlanta team. Location

This role offers a hybrid work schedule based out of our Atlanta, GA office, with Augusta, GA also available as a work location option.
The Impact You'll Have

As a Transportation Project Manager, you'll be a key leader on our Atlanta team. You will:
  • Lead transportation projects, project teams, budgets, schedules, scope, and overall project delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to design, plan development, engineering analysis, and other project deliverables as needed.
  • Work on roadway, highway, interstate, and other infrastructure projects for public and private-sector clients.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to new and existing clients and help identify opportunities to grow those partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities, lead strategic pursuits, and contribute to proposals, SOQs, contracts, networking, and marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate technical efforts across multiple project teams and disciplines to deliver integrated, turnkey solutions.
  • Build your professional network and represent the firm at industry events and professional organizations.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, project development, and project delivery, including roadway, highway, and/or interstate design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia is desired.
  • Experience working with Georgia DOT and/or local agencies, including the GDOT PDP, is desired.
  • Ability and willingness to remain hands-on technically, contributing to design and engineering work while leading projects and teams
  • Proven experience working directly with clients, developing relationships, and contributing to successful pursuits and winning work
  • Strong project management skills, including managing budgets, schedules, teams, scope, and contractual requirements
  • Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and client relationship skills
