As a Transportation Policy Consultant, you will support Policy Program Managers with technical guidance to improve program efficiency and effectiveness, while helping connect policy, communications, data, and web content efforts across the office. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys analyzing program needs, identifying overlaps and opportunities, and contributing practical solutions that strengthen public-facing information and internal knowledge-sharing. Areas of focus include analysis on travelers and the physical, operational, and financial condition of our transportation system.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide Policy Program Managers with technical support and guidance related to program efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Gather insights on objectives, challenges, and overlaps across programs and contribute ideas for solutions and resource-sharing opportunities that enhance program effectiveness and impact.

  • Recommend and support Google-based automation tools that could improve the timeliness of data releases or inventory stakeholder needs.

  • Assist in the coordination and organization of external and internal website improvements and updates.

  • Support policy and communications activities for internal and external stakeholders across the full communications lifecycle, including requirements gathering, content development, publication, and performance tracking.

What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST".

  • Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.

  • One(1) to Three (3) years of experience.

  • Experience providing communications support and guidance to internal and external policy stakeholders.

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize insights on program objectives, challenges, and overlaps.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to contribute practical solutions.

  • Experience supporting website updates, maintaining Google-based dashboards, SharePoint libraries, and general internal knowledge management systems.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Master's Degree.

  • Experience recommending automation tools to improve timeliness of data releases.

  • Experience inventorying stakeholder needs.

  • Experience with public-facing data dissemination or web content improvement initiatives.

  • Knowledge of Federal transportation policy, program efficiency, or related analytical work.

The annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00-$124,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
