Location:

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as the Transportation Manager for our gated retirement community, overseeing all department operations, including staff management, driver training, scheduling, and dispatching. You will ensure safe and efficient service, handle vehicle maintenance, and manage the department's budget and billing.

How you will make an impact

  • Oversee the hiring, training, and performance reviews of Transportation Department staff, and handle staff transitions as needed
  • Ensure comprehensive training for new drivers in operational and safe driving procedures
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date pricing policies for both routine and customized trips.
  • Establish driver schedules for "Off Hours" operations and coordinate customized trips upon request
  • Arrange vehicle rotation for preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Manage the dispatching operations within the Transportation Department
  • Assess road conditions during inclement weather and make decisions on modifying or canceling operations and routes
  • Handle billing for transportation services
  • Develop and manage the department's operational budget

What you will need

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in transportation services.
  • Office experience is preferred
  • Current and valid Driver’s License
