Transmission Project Developer

Location Fergus Falls, MN

Otter Tail Power Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transmission Project Developer to support the development and execution of transmission line projects. This role plays a critical part in advancing infrastructure initiatives that support reliable electric service and regional growth.

This role reports to Senior Management Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of transmission line projects from concept through execution.
  • Obtain major permits required for the construction of transmission lines, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage permitting timelines and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Facilitate community engagement efforts, including outreach, communication, and relationship management with stakeholders.
  • Oversee siting and routing activities, working closely with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Review, negotiate, and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, environmental, legal, and asset management.
  • Track project progress, budgets, and risks, ensuring successful delivery aligned with company objectives.

    • The expected offer for base compensation for this role is $76,000 - $106,000 annually. The actual compensation within the compensation range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
