RESPONSIBILITIES: The selected candidate will support all MOW operating subdivisions, as well as ad hoc special projects. This role will assist with data analysis and visualization, production and performance planning, recurring maintenance activities, track access coordination, and various ad hoc analytical assignments.
Additionally, the candidate will support material planning efforts, review and coordinate asset management initiatives, and prepare remediation spreadsheets, KPI and PPR reports, and other performance reporting deliverables. The position requires extensive use of Power BI and strong analytical capabilities to support data-driven decision-making.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II: - A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration,
public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics,
architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting,
transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management
or in a related area, or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of
satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration,
accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or
methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program
evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment
program planning or administration, security management; or general administration.
Associate Transit Management Analyst: - A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business
administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering
technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science,
finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban
planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations
research, security management or in a related area, and one year of full-time
satisfactory professional experience working in budget administration, accounting,
economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods
analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation,
personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program
planning or administration, security management; or general administration; or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and three years
of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.
DESIRED SKILLS: - Knowledge of NYCT Subway
- Proficiency with data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau etc.)
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access)
- Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
- Ability to read and interpret maps, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience supporting operational, maintenance, or infrastructure environments preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, spatial awareness, and interpersonal communication skills
