A career in our Transformation Risk & Advisory practice will provide you with an opportunity to participate in engagements that relate to Digital Transformation Strategies, Transformation Advisory and helping clients manage risks within their large transformation programs.

Our team is distinctive in this service offering and helps bring people, process & technologies together to help bring strategic advice to clients involved in digital transformations of $100 Mil and above.

Our Transformation Risk & Advisory team is growing and comprises a truly international team, with a wealth of experience in transformation advisory services, program and project delivery and risk management. A key focus for the team currently is to embrace and use the latest digital technologies to enhance our service delivery and successful candidates will be provided with focused training to support the adoption of these technologies. Based on our success in the marketplace, we are looking to expand our team's footprint and support new programs of work.

Purpose-led work you'll be part of

As a Transformation Risk Advisory Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in assessing large, complex digital transformation programs/projects based on prior experience and knowledge of leading practices for successfully delivering transformation programs
  • Identifying key transformation program delivery risks and providing advice and recommendations for effective mitigation
  • Analyzing program information/data to identify key insights on program performance and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Assisting in developing and executing program and project assurance strategies and plans
  • Managing all phases of client engagements, including supervising PwC teams, ensuring quality of deliverables and managing engagement economics
  • Assisting in delivering compelling presentations and driving impactful conversations with senior client leaders
  • Engaging in business development activities, including developing responses to requests for proposals
  • Pursuing opportunities to develop existing and new skills outside of comfort zone
  • Coaching others and encouraging them to take ownership of their development
  • Helping build the practice and deliver on our people value proposition


Skill & experience that you'll need

  • Experience in delivering and/or assessing large, digital transformation programs that includes:
  • Leading project/program performance assessments, program gateway reviews, risk-based reviews
  • Designing the program management and/or program assurance strategies
  • Strong understanding of the digital transformation project/program implementation lifecycle and associated risks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively negotiate, problem solve, and influence through verbal and written communications
  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Business or related field would be consider an asset
  • Certified Project Manager (PMI PMBOK, APM BOK, PRINCE2, MSP, MoR, Agile, or Benefit Realization) desirable
  • Proficiency in use of Excel. Powerpoint, MS Project, Jira
  • Fluency in French would be an asset
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
