Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Training & Development Specialist is part of the Program Management Office (PMO) team to ensure we provide training and run the Knowledge Management (KM) operations and complete required deliverables to support the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • You will maintain, update, and execute the Knowledge Management Plan (KMP).
  • You will help the PMO manage its own program documentation and operational knowledge.
  • You will be required to provide KM resources and its continuous improvement across the customer domain.
  • You will facilitate and sustain user engagement with KM resources.
  • You will also analyze Knowledge Based Article (KBA) trends and usage data to inform content strategy.
  • You are responsible for validation and evaluation of the master repository for all knowledge articles.
  • You will Implement self-help initiatives to improve user autonomy and reduce support burden and coordinate semi-annually, at minimum, across the enterprise to obtain updates from stakeholders.
  • In support of the disaster recovery (DR) program and team, you will provide DR training and awareness programs for technical staff and system owners to ensure familiarity with DR procedures and responsibilities.
  • You will also ensure that all support personnel are trained and qualified with DoS mandated training and to be qualified to deliver new products and support services, including proficiency with applicable procedures, tools, and customer interaction protocols.
  • Training completion shall be tracked and reported. Additionally, you will catalog, update and publish SOPs for contractor staff performing contract duties.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

  • 4+ years
  • Bachelor's in IT or related field
  • CompTIA CTT+ desired
  • Secret Security Clearance 

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s) 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:   

    • Sitting for long periods
    • Standing for long periods
    • Ambulate throughout an office
    • Ambulate between several buildings
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
    • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds
    • Travel by land or air transportation up to 25%

 

If hired for this position, the base salary range would be within the range provided. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to work location, skills, experience, gov con contractual requirements, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Empower AI's total compensation package for employees.

Pay Band MinUSD $79,390.00/Yr. Pay Band MaxUSD $122,870.00/Yr.
