The salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year for employees hired in the Antioch, CA area. Aspiranet is seeking a Training and Staff Development Manager to strengthen the skills, knowledge, and performance of Receiving Center staff. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about workforce development, coaching, and creating meaningful learning experiences that support high-quality, trauma-informed care.

You'll play a key role in building staff capacity, improving program outcomes, and fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Receiving Centers.

πŸ“ Summary Position

The Training and Staff Development Manager leads the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs for Receiving Center staff in partnership with Program Directors, Supervisors, and Clinicians. This position ensures staff are equipped to meet regulatory standards and deliver high-quality services while supporting onboarding, ongoing training, and performance development aligned with Aspiranet's mission and service standards.

πŸ”Key Responsibilities

Training & Program Development
  • Develop, implement, and monitor training programs within the Receiving Centers.
  • Assess training needs of the Receiving Centers based on outcomes, best practice, incident reports, complaints and identified opportunities for improvement.
  • Create interactive and engaging training modules using diverse delivery methods, including small group workshops, virtual training, simulation-based, and on-the-job training.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is current, accurate and relevant to clinical and operational needs.

Onboarding & Staff Development
  • Partner with Receiving Center Supervisors to coordinate and deliver new employee foundational training programs that ensure staff are prepared to perform their roles effectively and in compliance with program and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Receiving Center staff including developing competency standards and monitoring performance.
  • Monitor program performance, staff development needs, and service outcomes; design and implement responsive training initiatives to address identified gaps, strengthen competencies, and support continuous quality improvement.

Quality Improvement & Compliance
  • Regularly collect, evaluate and monitor quality of services to training standards.
  • Oversee the tracking of training documentation with emphasis on assuring alignment and compliance with the Organization Training Plan and CCL requirements.
  • Accurately report incidents, grievances, complaints, issues and concerns to the Division Director in a timely manner.
  • Maintain client and case confidentiality per Agency, funder, state and federal requirements.

Operations & Administrative Support
  • Identify and coordinate training sites, facilities, and related logistics to ensure accessible, efficient, and high-quality learning experiences for staff.
  • Complete administrative paperwork (time sheets, mileage, time off requests, expense reimbursements, weekly schedule, etc.) on time.

Relationship Building & Professional Standards
  • Maintain confidentiality in compliance with agency and legal requirements
  • Model professional boundaries and collaborative working relationships
  • Support culture aligned with Aspiranet values and mission

Physical Activities
  • Must be able to handle or manipulate objects, tools, and operate controls.
  • Must be able to reach for stacked products, store and retrieve file boxes on high shelves.
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift and/or carry as much as 10 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to regularly drive a personal vehicle for business purposes, including travel to program locations, conferences, and collaborative meetings.

Education & Experience
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Organizational Development, Human Services, or related field; or bachelor's degree in a related field with equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in training, staff development, or workforce development in a related field
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating training for adult learners
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills

Preferred
  • Clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) and/or professional certifications (ATD, SHRM, CPTD) preferred
  • Experience in behavioral health, child welfare, or trauma-informed care

Other Requirements
  • Must meet all state and Community Care Licensing requirements (fingerprint clearance, CACI clearance, TB screening/health screening, and other required background clearances)
