Title:
Training and Instructional Systems Specialist

KBR is seeking a Training and Instructional Systems Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

KBR is the prime contractor on the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for KBR employment. The MSEIT effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Force's Space Systems Command (SSC). We acquire state of the art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

The Training and Instructional Systems Specialist will perform training requirements analysis and develop instructional solutions supporting operational and maintenance training programs. The selected candidate will analyze mission tasks and translate operational requirements into effective training products, curricula, and learning pathways.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct job task analysis, mission task analysis, and training needs assessments
• Translate operational and maintenance tasks into measurable training requirements
• Develop curriculum architectures, courseware strategies, and training pipelines
• Apply Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies
• Develop learning objectives, training standards, lesson plans, and evaluation criteria
• Support development of training products for instructor-led, distributed, and blended learning environments
• Participate in requirements reviews and program planning activities
• Coordinate with subject matter experts and customer stakeholders

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Performance Technology, Military Science, or related discipline
• 4+ years of experience in instructional systems design, training development, or military training programs
• Experience conducting task and training needs analyses
• Knowledge of SAT and ISD methodologies
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired:
• Masters degree in technical field
• Experience with Program Office and/or HQ CFC (previous HQ AFSPC, HQ SpOC) processes
• Experience supporting Department of War (DoW) training programs
• Familiarity with Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM)-compliant courseware development
• Experience supporting space, missile defense, or aerospace systems
• Familiarity with Request for Proposal (RFP) development
• Active DoD Top Secret, SCI clearance

Compensation: $91,200 to $113,900 in El Segundo, CA

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
