Position Description: Join high performing Global Banking team as a Trading Application Business Analyst role to manage and provide solutions to improve and optimize the working capital of financial institutions and corporate clients worldwide.
This position is located at client site in Jersey City, NJ - 4 days per week on-site is required for this role
Your future duties and responsibilities: The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading trading application projects including the transformation of the platform system within a changing architecture environment. The end-to-end delivery includes project initiation activities, planning, governance and implementation. This role requires deep understanding of Investment Banking Capital Markets Trading Mortgage Based Securities (MBS) systems and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. This role operates at the intersection of trading, technology, and fintech, leading high-impact initiatives across OMS/EMS platforms, execution systems, algorithmic trading, and market connectivity solutions
. Lead analysis from front-to-back trade workflows including trade capture, confirmation, valuation, settlements, collateral, margin, reconciliations, and reporting.
. Work on transformation strategy for a reporting system.
. Translate derivatives business processes into Feature definition, process maps, data mappings, interface specifications, and user stories
. Present technical design, architecture structure and new technologies opportunities
. Propose dynamic and scalable solutions
. Prepare road maps, plans and status reports
. Collaborate closely with internal development, third-party vendors, and QA teams to clarify requirements, validate technical solutions, and support successful system implementation.
. Worke with global teams
. Manage diverse stakeholders
. Ensure that the solution meets the requirements set out to cover the business line's needs.
. Ensure solutions are delivered on time, mitigate risks and can be maintained with minimal maintenance
. Translate derivatives business processes into Feature definition, process maps, data mappings, interface specifications, and user stories
. Understand and analyze the business line's needs with the aim of developing the appropriate and sustainable solutions that are consistent with the entity's strategic plan and the associated portfolio of requests.
. Build partnerships with assigned development and stakeholder teams.
. Write business requirements and specifications, perform workload and risk analysis.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . 10+ years' experience in the capital markets financial industry (Investment Bank/Broker Dealer).
. Experience with business analysis, data sourcing, business/ functional specification, and application testing
. Strong knowledge of Fixed Income - Loan structure- deal, facility, tranche, electronic trading platforms, and trading technologies
. Expertise/Subject Matter Expert in one of the financial products, reporting and debit financing, securities lending, margin, and related financing workflows
. Good communication and management skills.
. Able to work with stakeholders on different levels
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the mindset to find innovative and creative solutions
. Able to work under tight deadlines
. Good to have business industry certifications like CFA, FRM, etc

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $107,500.00 - $211,600.00.
