Full Job Description
1.AP Operations & Workflow Management:
  • Oversight of daily AP workflow volumes to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing.
  • Direct team execution against established KPIs and SLAs, ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to support team members with complex or ad hoc AP issues.
  • Perform quality checks on completed work to maintain high accuracy and consistency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned internal teams and/or external service providers.


2. Stakeholder Engagement & Escalation Management
  • Manage and resolve complex escalations that cannot be addressed by frontline team members.
  • Communicate professionally and diplomatically with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers to enforce deadlines and expectations.
  • Generate, analyze, and interpret business reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved execution.


3. Leadership & Team Support
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to AP analysts to drive performance and increase engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with the AP Manager to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Participate in required meetings and, when appropriate, lead meetings or represent the manager.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.


4. Process Improvement & Optimization
  • Analyze errors, delays, and inefficiencies to identify root causes and proactively drive process improvement initiatives and automation opportunities that strengthen accuracy, timeliness, and control adherence.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support current and future optimization projects.
  • Assist management with the development, evaluation, and documentation of AP policies and procedures.


Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

Education/Training
  • Degree or equivalent experience typically requires 4+ years of professional experience


Business Experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including creating and enhancing moderately complex Excel templates.
  • Ability to research issues, analyze data, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships and influence outcomes without authority.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a changing business environment.
  • Understanding of how strategic business changes impact AP operations and controls.
