The Township of Millburn seeks a qualified full-time Township Engineer to lead the Engineering Department. Millburn Township is a full-service community and requires significant engineering support to fill demands related to construction, traffic and infrastructure improvements. Millburn seeks a qualified engineer who possesses a sound understanding in areas such as municipal engineering, site surveying, plan review, performing site inspections, stormwater management and flooding, sanitary sewer system management, NJ DEP and DOT regulations, roadway design and construction, and NJDOT and federal grants. The Township Engineer may be required to speak with the governing body, attend evening meetings and advise various boards and committees. The position regularly works with and supports Millburn municipal officials and departments, residents, and business owners.
Qualifications: valid driver's license; bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent; professional engineer license, required; and certified municipal engineer certification, preferred. Minimum of 5-10 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in municipal or county engineering preferred. Proficiency with Spatial Data Logic (SDL) and GIS mapping is desirable. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team. Must be able to prioritize different projects and needs across the Township.
Work schedule: Full-time schedule, 35 hours per week.
Compensation: benefits, paid time off, and salary range of $153,897 - $234,322, commensurate with experience.
