Full Job Description
Role

We are seeking a Total Rewards Analyst to join our HR Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of the organization's compensation, benefits, wellness, and performance management programs. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the clean energy sector.

The role is based at our Reno office and reports to the Total Rewards Manager. Occasional travel to other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration (U.S. & Canada)
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and ancillary plans
  • Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators
  • Assist with contract renewals, service-level reviews, and vendor performance monitoring.
  • Lead open enrollment execution, including system setup, employee communications, and issue resolution
  • Perform benefits audits and reconciliations with payroll and vendors
  • Educate employees on their benefits options, enrollment, and any changes.
  • Provide guidance on claims processes, eligibility, and other benefit-related issues.
  • Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
  • Manage U.S. worker's compensation claims, coordinating with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant case handling.
  • Oversee Canadian workplace injury claims and reporting with applicable Workers' Compensation Boards (i.e. WorkSafeBC in British Columbia).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, CRA requirements)


Wellness Programs
  • Support development and implementation of company-wide employee wellness initiatives
  • Partner with vendors to deliver wellness programs and engagement campaigns
  • Track participation and effectiveness to support program enhancements


Compensation
  • Support annual compensation processes, including merit increases, bonus planning, and incentive programs
  • Support the creation and maintenance of salary structures and job architecture
  • Perform internal equity and market benchmarking analyses, particularly within industry-relevant markets
  • Build and maintain compensation models (e.g., merit, bonus, proration scenarios)
  • Support administration of the company's equity awards programs (RSUs/PSUs), including grant tracking, vesting, and lifecycle management


Performance Management
  • Support administration of performance management processes within Workday, including goal setting, mid-year and year-end reviews
  • Provide reporting and analytics: completion rates, rating distributions, calibration insights
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to ensure consistency and adoption across teams


Analytics, Compliance & Audit
  • Maintain documentation and controls to support audit readiness (including SOX where applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial regulations
  • Support internal and external audits related to Total Rewards programs


Employee Experience & Communication
  • Develop clear, employee-friendly communications for compensation cycles, benefits updates and performance processes
  • Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
  • Enhance employee understanding of Total Rewards offerings
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships across all teams while championing a culture that reflects and supports our Purpose, Vision, and Values
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
