Description & Requirements Tools Software Engineer:
The EA Sports FC Team is seeking a Tools Engineer to join a diverse team of engineers, designers, content creators, and analysts. You will help design and implement tools for development and live service, impacting millions of players worldwide.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Content Producers, Designers, Testers and other Software Engineers to develop business applications (tools) essential to their workflow, using modern web technologies.
- Design and build a tools solution with scalability, performance, security, and usability in mind.
- Provide technical documentation and user guide for each tool, and work with users to onboard them during rollout.
- Create and maintain the deployment pipeline for the tools.
Your Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in developing and launching web applications, with a strong focus on UX/UI, is essential.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Typescript and experience in object-oriented design and implementation.
- Knowledge of NodeJS, Web Frameworks and Websockets.
- Knowledge of Gitlab and Docker.
- Knowledge of Python, C#, and html.
- Knowledge of modern Database technologies.
- Knowledge of good software programming practices.
- Experience with C++ is a plus
Pay Transparency - North AmericaCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$86,600 - $118,600 CAD

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
