THE WORK
TLS Integrated Engineering is looking for a dynamic Senior Manager to lead a team of First Line Managers and their multidisciplinary engineering groups. In this role, you will guide the development of innovative solutions for the Enterprise Logistics (EL) and Maritime and Land Training Solutions (MLTS) portfolios. The ideal candidate will lead people and execution, playing a pivotal role in shaping our business's future by driving growth and development in a dynamic, competitive environment.
Responsibilities include:
• Enable the performance of talented, multi-discipline engineering teams comprised of team members with expertise in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Integration & Test, Configuration & Data Management and Infrastructure Engineering by setting and clearly communicating organizational vision, expectations and objectives.
• Organize and facilitate team members' growth, ensuring they have the training and skills needed to succeed.
• Partner with HR to promote a "people first" culture and resolve employee matters in a timely fashion.
• Foster a work environment that values out-of-the-box thinking, and seeing the big picture.
• Partner with the Market Segment Chief Engineer (MSCE),and their team, to drive program execution
• Ensure the integrity of engineering activity by employing both quantitative and qualitative management approaches and compliance with Command Media. Collect and use data to make data driven decisions.
• Actively monitor performance of engineering teams. Facilitate corrective action, as required.
• Promote the continual identification and active management of risks and opportunities.
• Actively monitor staffing demand and take action to ensure sufficient supply.
• Champion continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to employ tools and practices that increase team efficiency and quality.
• Champion transformation. Develop and communicate strategies that facilitate adoption at all levels within the organization.
• Facilitate cross-program opportunities by coordinating with Chief Engineering and Program Management.
• Ensure the quality and compliance of cost estimates generated within your organization.

This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical discipline or related discipline
- Prior first line leadership experience
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing the critical skills of others
- Experience leading cross-functional product development teams
- Thorough understanding of Agile Product Development, especially Scrum & Kanban
- Experience working collaboratively with Program Management, Finance and Contracts organizations
- Thorough understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Experience creating and implementing hiring plans
- Experience applying the Vee Process Model to fully develop and integrate a complex system
Desired skills
- Experience with the TLS Enterprise Logistics and Maritime and Land Training Solutions offering of products and services
- Experience with 1LMX Transformation Capabilities and adopting them on projects
- Experience in Systems Engineering, Complex Systems Integration & Test, and Model-Based Engineering (MBE) processes, principles and tools
- SAFe Training/Certification, RMS SAM Training/Certification or other Recognized Agile Certification
- Control Account Management (CAM) experience within past 5 years
- Experience as a leader-of-leaders
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $144,600 - $255,070. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $166,400 - $288,305. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
